BUDD RAIL DIESEL CAR 6211 was built in 1955 for the Boston & Maine Railroad. It operated throughout New England for a quarter century, including on the Bedford Branch to Boston. The historic car was rescued from scrapping and cosmetically restored for display at Bedford Depot Park alongside the Minuteman Bikeway in Bedford, Massachusetts.

Fixed seating for up to 30 people in the main passenger section

BEDFORD RAILROAD STATION was built in 1873 by the Middlesex Central Railroad. The building was a focal point in Bedford for many decades. Passengers bought tickets from the agent there for travel to Boston, Concord and Billerica. A Railway Express office handled shipments of parcels. The B&M Railroad decommissioned the Depot in 1958; and the Town acquired the property in 1999.
