About the Friends of Bedford Depot Park

Friends of Bedford Depot Park was incorporated in January 1995 as a non-profit (501-C-3) organization. It now has over 240 members throughout the country. The group:

  • Helped establish and now supports Bedford Depot Park at the Minuteman Bikeway terminus.

  • Helped restore Boston & Maine Railroad Rail Diesel Car #6211 for static display.
  • Operates the Freight House welcome center as a public service.

  • Researches and preserves the history of the narrow-gauge Billerica & Bedford Railroad and the B&M's former Lexington and Reformatory Branches.

  • Publishes a newsletter, Bedford Depot News.
